Tip of the tongue by University Games & Giveaway

With us now in the run up to Christmas, it’s not surprise that many new games are starting to hit the shelves. Tip of the Tongue is just one of them and comes from popular games company – University games.

This game is for up to 6 players and has an age guide of 12 years. In my personal opinion I think this could be lowered slightly as it does seem a fairly easy game to play.

This is basically it. Hundreds of question cards tokens and a strange looking tongue shaped buzzer device. Each player starts with 5 tokens. This buzzer gets passed around each player along with a new question card. That player then becomes the reader. No other players are allowed to see the readers card. The reader asks all other players one of the 5 questions (a different question to each player). Then the buzzer gets pressed. Each player gives their answer one at a time before the buzzer stops. Each person getting just 2 seconds to answer. For every correct answer a player can get rid of one token. The buzzer is then passed to the next player who then becomes the new reader. The game winner being the first to get rid of all their tokens.

It’s fun and fast and also improves our knowledge. I’d say the questions are of mid range level. Not too easy so no good for really small kids, but not too difficult either. I let Izebella (almost 7) play a few times and even she was able to get some answers correct.

This game costs Β£20 from Argos
