This constant cold weather brings nothing but misery with floods, illness and cold feet when outside. A good warm pair of socks is a much needed item at this time of year both inside and outside.
These thermal socks come from Heatholders.
Heatholders socks come with their own tog rating. They are made using an innovative knitting technology using a long looped thermal pile and made with advanced knitting yarn. A final intense brushing process maximises the amount of warm air kept inside the sock. This process held give the socks their 2.34 tog rating compared to the 0.33 of the basic cotton sock. This being quite a considerable difference.
The socks are really thick and insid the sock is really fluffy and fleecy. I could certainly feel the warmth as soon as I put them on.
They are perfect for wearing in the house on cold nights and also for under wellies when wet and cold outside. However as they are thicker than average socks they may be difficult to wear under normal or tighter footwear.
The socks are all priced differently but seem to start at £5.99 a pair and may be well worth an investment for a very cold night.
