Green Vale Farm Fresh Potatoes

The beginning of October was national Potato week but with illnesses and tantrums and moving home stress I have only just got around to my potato review so apologies for the slight lateness.
We go through a lot of Potatoes in out house. They are a very versatile food with lots of uses. I was recently sent a bag of Green Vale Farm Fresh Potatoes

This variety of potato seem a much better class of potatoes than most supermarket varieties. The potatoes are oval shaped with yellow flesh and a smooth skin which is very easy to peel if needed. The potatoes come in a large paper sack which is much better at keeping the potatoes fresher than plastic.

This variety can be used any way you wish. They can be boiled, mashed, roasted, chipped or made into jacket potatoes. With Bonfire night soon approaching most people hosting Bonfire parties will no doubt be cooking up jacket spuds.

These potatoes make excellent jackets. The potato tastes light, fluffy and creamy and the potatoes seem to cook evenly all the way through with no nasty hard bits. I love my jacket potatoes with a few beans especially on a cold Autumn evening.

The potatoes are available in Tesco stores and cost approximately £2.50 for a 2kg bag which contains a fair few lovely fresh potatoes.
