We recently took part in the Great Oreo cookie quest challenge through Brit mums. The challenge was simple. Armed with packs of Oreos we simply had to share what we do with them!
Also – Oreo is celebrating The Great Oreo Cookie Quest. This a fun and interactive way to win great prizes including the opportunity to win a once-in-a-lifetime wonder-filled trip to California and the Googleplex through an on-pack promotion.
We do enjoy Oreos with their dark cookie tough biscuits and a creamy filling on the inside.
We even like them first thing in the morning and last thing at night.
We had lots of ideas on what to do with our yummy Oreos, including taking them to the park, having a picnic etc, but sadly the awful cold weather just wouldn’t go away, add to that a few colds and tummy bugs and it’s not been a great few weeks to do that much with the poor Oreos.
So after munching on a few cookies, and a quick game of find the Oreos around the house , Jordanna came up with an amazing idea. She said “can we use the rest of the Oreos to make a cake!” My reply of course was yes, after all this meant they were put to good use after all despite the weather outside.
We found an easy cheesecake recipe which didn’t even involve any baking and this is our end result!
We used a crushed biscuit base (not Oreos), then made the cream filling using cream cheese, whipping cream, icing sugar and vanilla (yes it was very sweet). We placed full Oreos around the bottom (to hide imperfections) then placed Oreos on top along with few crushed Oreos and dark chocolate on top.
It was very nice indeed.
Although we couldn’t do much in the way of many Oreo activities this time we are glad that we managed to make something out of them at least.
