Leapfrog products are all about learning whilst having fun. Izebella has already had and enjoyed a fair few different toys from Leapfrog and her latest one is the Leapstart.
Leapstart looks like a chunky plastic folder. With Leapstart comes one sample book with many more available to buy. Leapstart can be played without the books too as the inside of Leapstart is also interactive.
The interactive pen is attached to the Leapstart device which saves it being lost as this is required for all the activities.
The activity books are spring coil binder and clip into the middle of the device like this.
There are many activities across the book pages and each one can be started by pressing the green star squares. Almost everything on each page is interactive with the pen in some way even if it’s just a beep or a sound. There is a guide voice which tells Izebella what to do and also a hint button but she is able to work most of it out herself.
The books come in four levels – nursery, pre school, reception and year 1. There are two Leapstart devices available too for 4 and under and 5 and over.
The books cover many subjects and Izebella really enjoys them. Shapes, colours, numbers, alphabet, animals, routines, science and much more comes packed into the books. Izebella doesn’t even realise she’s learning as she just has fun with it.
I think it’s a perfect gift for pre schoolers and younger children. Leapstart costs about £35.00 and the extra books about £10 each one.
