Burger and sausage with a difference!

I do love a nice burger now and then and a nice bit of sausage with some bacon. The usual meats involved with burger and sausage are beef or maybe pork, but recently I have been sampling something a little more exotic thanks to Kezie foods.

Kezie sell meats which differ from what you would find at the supermarket, they sell “exotic” type meats which include some rather strange things such as crocodile, camel and even edible insects. There’s also a lot of game type meats which again are hard to come by at the local supermarket. I’m not too sure how I would feel eating kangaroo and would probably say no to insects, but burger and sausages, I can do!

Everything arrived frozen in tightly sealed packaging. There are 2 types of burger being Mouflon which I had absolutely no idea what a mouflon is. It turns out it’s actually a species of wild sheep. Also reindeer burgers which are perfect for this time of year, tho I didn’t dare tell my kids I’m eating Rudolph.

This here was the reindeer burger and it cooks like any other burger. It has hints of venison with a handy but slightly sweet taste. It’s nice but really filling so I don’t think I could eat 2.

The sausage varieties are venison and Iberico pork and apple. I have had venison meat a few times so sort of used to the venison flavour. Again I had no idea what Iberico pork is just that it must be some sort of pig. It turns out its from the black Iberian pigs which are native to Spain amongst other places.

These have a lovely meaty, filling flavour to them which differs from other sausages. They taste really good.

So for a different type of dish to yhe table, try Kezie foods. I have even spotted frogs legs on their website, and… Wait for it!!! Python too.
