Competition: Win a “Baker Days” cake for Christmas

One of my first ever blog posts was Baker Days and my lovely letterbox cake. Baker days are well known for their delicious cakes which can arrive through the letterbox. I was quite happy to be sent another one for my children a few days ago.

The letterbox cakes cost £14.99. Bigger cakes are available but the letterbox cakes seem to be very popular for sweet gifts. The cakes come in reusable metal tins which is then carefully packed into a cardboard container which is small enough to fit through most letter boxes.

The cakes even come with little candles and balloons and are made ready to eat straight from the box.

There are so many different designs to choose from to suit all occasions and then the cake can be personalised with own wording, greetings, names and sometimes even photographs. The first cake I had from Baker Days did have a photograph of my children on it but as it's almost Christmas, I went with a more festive and traditional Christmas design this time,

My cake features the “Lets build a snowman design” and I had all 3 of my children's names put on the cake too. These letterbox cakes provide enough average size cake slices for about 4 people so it was just enough for us all. My cake was a sponge recipe which tastes delicious and very sweet with the lovely buttercream and icing.

Other recipes include chocolate chip, fruit plus special dietary cake recipes.

These cakes make lovely edible gifts. A lovely surprise if one of these came through your door and much better than a card.
Find personalised birthday cakes too at Baker Days along with cupcakes and cakes too suit any occasion.
