Shopkins are a new creation from the guys over at Flair Plc and I have a feeling that little girls everywhere will soon be wanting and collecting them.
So what are Shopkins??
They are small cute fun characters. Each with their own personality and colours. They are very small and all resemble something you can buy in a supermarket, hence the name “Shopkins”
Of course there is no point having shopkins unless of course they have a shop to meet and shop in. And what better place than this amazing Shopkins Supermarket Playset.
This supermarket comes complete with 2 Shopkin characters to start you off plus a shopping trolley, 2 shopping bags, a fun slide, treadmill display and a guide.
The supermarket is all ready set up and ready to play with so we did not have to worry about building, screwing or connecting parts which usually goes very wrong when left to me.
The shopkin characters can be attached to the supermarket shelves or have fun sliding down the slide. They can then move along the treadmill or just be pushed around in the trolley.
The supermarket comes with 2 shopkins characters but Jordanna would very soon get bored of just playing with 2. Luckily we also have an accessory pack containing 12 shopkins.
These packs also come smaller as a 5 pack.
Each pack will be different and contain a mixture of shopkins from the season (currently Season 1). The shopkins all resemble supermarket products and therefore split into 8 groups.
Frozen, Pantry, Sweet treats, Dairy, Party food, Health & Beauty, Fruit & Veg, Bakery. Each character also comes with a collector status – Common, Rare, Ultra rare & Special edition. Each accessory pack will contain 1 or 2 special edition shopkins but these will be hidden inside the pack so you can’t see them until you open the pack. It all adds to the fun.
A further addition to the shopkins collection is the addition of a Limited edition shopkins group. These shopkins are extra special and I imagine not many will be made. They are gold and may just be hidden away in the pack you choose.
Along with the shopkins, the accessory packs also contain shopping bags and a basket which the shopkins can go in.
There are of course other play sets in the shopkin collection which are a separate purchase and can be combined to make one large supermarket.
Accessory packs cost approximately £9.99 for a 12 pack and £5.99 for the 5 pack.
Shopkins come with an age guide of 3 and over and aimed at little girls. The shopkin characters are very small. The size and shape reminds me of those things you can stick on the end of a pencil. Due to the size of them I am only letting Jordanna play with them and not Izebella as she does on occasions still put things in her mouth. I’m sure they will still be around once she is a little older.
I think the shopkins may just be one of those toys that every girl wants. They are cute and fun and I can just see Jordanna and her friends swapping shopkin characters with each other for the ones they don’t have.
