The winner can choose between the green Autumn leaves rugby top or Desert camouflage top both have pouch pockets and they come in a choice of sizes. 4/5, 5/6, 6/7 and 7/8 years. They are warm and cosy and great for the winter weather.

I must have been quite lucky as a youngster, as my mum let me wear dresses which I loved. Thing was though :- I did have some mishaps when out playing. I can recall my mum saying I told her “the grass did it”. When she asked me what had happened to my dress. Once I had a grass stain, on another occasion a dress got torn climbing over a fence. I think the grass always got the blame. My sister was a tom-boy as a child. Though we would play together, and I joined in, in her pursuits :- I always insisted on wearing a pretty dress. Whether hill climbing, playing football or anything else.

Following via @phyllgerry, like on FB with ID Phyllis Ellett, the worst was a corduroy dress for a wedding in the 60’s
My mum insisted on putting me in woollen trousers even though they were really itchy to wear!

My mum used to dress us in cords all the time, I hated the feel of them

Myself and my sister were those kids who were always dressed to match in the home knitted jumpers. Off the top of my head I can remember a black one that had rows of liqourice allsorts knitted on them, a pale yellow one with peter rabbit on the front and on the back was peters back complete with white pom pom bunny tale. A bright pink neon zig zag pattern jumper, ninja turtles face on a white jumper (I think I was donatello and my sister was leonardo) and one of us had donald and one had daffy duck…….I also remember matching denim dresses, cycling shorts and frilly tshirt combo’s and I also sadly have the photographic evidence to prove it.

I was mortified to have to wear an oversized, black and unflattering swimming costume to a day at the seaside.
