What gift will you be buying for your loved ones this Christmas? Perfume, aftershave, chocolates etc are all very nice but once used are easily forgotten. How about this Christmas giving a beautiful journal to that special person in your life or buying a journal for your family to record and keep special memories.
A lovely website From You to Me has beautiful journals for all sorts of occasions and all sorts of relatives and people to share those precious times. The company was founded in 2007 and came about from managing director Neil. Neiks father was terminally ill and it struck him that there was so much unsaid and undiscovered about his fathers life.
The journals are beautiful hard backed booked with varying colours and designs to front and back. They can even be personalised using your own words and photographs to make them even more special. There are journals for daughter and son to note down things each year of their life. Journals for parents, siblings, grandparents, friends and other relatives. Even godparent journals are included which would make a lovely gift on a Christening day. A full list of relative journals can be seen here. A great thing about these journals too is that they can be bought with alternative titles. For instance if you call your Mother mummy or mom there are journals for these too and same for Grandma being Granny or nan.
I was able to pick two very lovely journals. The first one I chose was a Dear Grandma journal.
I no longer have any of my Grandparents and would loved to have known more about them. I'm giving this to my children's Grandma for her to fill out and one day show it them when they are a little older.
I left off the personalisation as I thought it looked quite pretty as it is. It's beautifully decorated at front with an array of quirky retro items and has a red ribbon for page reminding.Inside are pages for Grandma to fill out about her life such as where she worked, her pets, hobbies when younger. Also questions about her family so my children can have an idea about their family's past.
I think these journal are a great idea and lots of fun to fill out and one day share.
As well as journals for family members and friends there are other types of journals available too. These include cooking (for saving recipes and tips), Football (for football fans) and a few others for special occasions throughout the year including a very special Christmas journal.
Christmas Present, Christmas Past allows families to capture the magic of ten years worth of Christmas celebrations. Year after year this journal can be filled with memories of festive preparations, tree decorating, hopes for new year, special guests, awaiting Santa's arrival and so much more.
The journal is available with 3 different cover designs. Once Christmas and new year are over this journal can be safety tucked away with the decorations. What a surprise it will be when it appears year after year when the tree goes up again and my family can look at what we did last year. It really is an amazing well thought out idea.
There is even space to perhaps add a small photo to bring back those special Christmas Day memories. Lots of space to write and record things too.
The journals differ in price but many are just £12.99 which is great value when you think how many years of memories you will get out of these. I would have been very moved if I opened a present Christmas Day and it contained a beautiful journal from Fromyoutome
