What Are The Best NBA Arenas to Visit?

Even though attending NBA matches is hold at the momentand the virtual audience has taken over, there will be a time where everything will be back to normal. It seems like now is the perfect time to pause and look back at all the things that make this sport great.

Apart from the iconic moments, elite athletes, all-star line-ups, and incredible gameplay, NBA arenas also play an important role in this sport.

One of many things that makes this sport great is the crowd. If we remove the passionate fans that spark up the atmosphere, the situation will be different.

That’s why people need arenas worthy of housing them each week. In today’s article, we highlighted a list of the best NBA arenas that you should add to your bucket list once the situation is back to normal.

Madison Square Garden

There is no surprise that The Garden is one of the most popular arenas in the NBA, and there is a good reason for that. Even though the Knicks are not in the best shape in terms of points as they used to be, but this hasn’t stopped them from having the happiest and passionate fans in the league.

It might be difficult to get tickets just because of the popularity of the stadium and its atmosphere. The iconic spherical shape of the arena and its capacity of around 20,000 opened its doors back in 1968.

If you are an NBA fan, The Garden should be at the top of your list to visit.

Staples Center

Up next we have the Staples Center which is located in Los Angeles, California and it is a really impressive arena. If you stop to take a selfie, you’d probably notice that this is the arena where Grammy Awards are usually hosted.

The arena can house around 19,000 basketball fans and also has the famous Star Plaza outside, which showcases statues of some of the most famous LA athletes and sports broadcasters.

Barclays Center

This stadium is home to not one but two impressive teams in the NBA league. Fans of both the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers get to enjoy this incredible arena.

According to social media, the Barclays Center is the third most popular arena with more than 350,000 mentions. So, if you are visiting the Big Apple and you like sports in general, you should definitely take a tour of the arena. If there happen to be any games while you’re visiting then make sure to get Clippers tickets and enjoy the full experience live.

This arena is home to the Nets, as well as the New York Islanders NHL team. Even though it is a relatively new stadium compared to others and opened its doors back in 2012 with a Jay-Z concert.

TD Garden

Home to the Boston Celtics, the TD Garden finds itself in the top 5 NBA arenas in the United States. The arena can house around 18,500 people and it is made with their traditional green accents.

It is definitely a stunning arena to visit and the best thing is that it is home not for the NBA team, but also many concerts, hockey, and other events.

It is estimated that around 3.5 million people visit the arena each year, which proves that it is definitely worth the trip.

United Center

The famous statue of Michael Jordan is one of the reasons why this arena gets millions of visitors every year. As we all know, the Bulls are NBA royalty and they feature the largest arena by capacity in the NBA league. It can house around 23,500 fans, which makes the games even more exciting.

So, if you ever visit the windy city (Chicago) make sure you check out this arena.

Final Words

These are some of the most popular NBA arenas you should definitely visit if you love basketball. And if the pandemic doesn’t allow you to visit them anytime soon, head on to TwinSpires Edge and check the current NBA odds.

Each arena has its own entertainment center, tours of their team’s history, and most importantly, they host fun-to-watch matches from the NBA league.

NBA, just like NFL and NHL, is all a bit flat and meaningless to us British spectators, as there is no promotion or relegation to and from any of these leagues.
What is the point of any sport where the true competition has been totally removed? It does not make any sense to us British, where true competition is at the heart of ALL our sport, through promotion and relegation in our leagues, whether it be football ( i.e. soccer) , rugby union, rugby league, cricket, hockey( i.e. field hockey) and so on.
