Time To Pamper Your Pins

When the summertime is coming up, you might be feeling the urge to let your legs breathe again. After all, being hidden away under tights, jeans and legging for months takes its toll. Not only that but over the autumn and winter, the typical care your legs get may be reduced.

So here are a few quick tips to pamper your pins.

Move Them

Upping the amount of exercise your legs get is one of the quickest ways to improve their tone and shape. Zumba a few times a week is a lot of fun and will give your legs tone and definition. A long walk once a week is also a great option too.

It’s time to get your favourite exfoliating scrub at the ready. If you don’t have one that you love, then you can make your own leg scrub with sea salt or brown sugar and olive oil. Coffee granules and coconut oil also work really well. Use circular motions, so that you cover the whole of your leg. And don’t rush or try to use too much pressure.

Use a nourishing moisturizer to keep your skin supple and soft.

After your legs are prepped, you can use wax strips to give you the ultimate smooth skin.

Tired Legs

If you have a demanding job where you are on your feet a lot, you might find that your ankles swell, and your legs feel fatigued. Create a peppermint spray with distilled water and a few drops of essential oil. This will invigorate your legs, and they’ll be left feeling zingy and refreshed.

Leg massages are excellent for you. And you can do them yourself without much effort. There are a number of herbal oils that work really well to nourish and relax your leg muscles. Chamomile, rosemary and eucalyptus are the perfect choices.

Foot Bath

Rather than have a full-body soak, you can soak your feet and ankles in Epsom salts or a magnesium salt mix. Make sure the water is warm, and leave your feet to soak for between 30 and 60 minutes.

Honey and lemon foot baths are a great way to feel refreshed, relaxed and give you feet a bit of love. Honey attracts and seals moisture to help hydrate your ankles and feet. The lemon will help get rid of any dead skin cells that you have.

There is nothing as potent and drinking the right amount of water every day. If you have trouble remembering to drink enough water, then consider getting an app to remind you a few times a day to drink a glass. If you find plain water boring, then try adding lemon and a few sprigs of mint to it.

And finally, after a long day, or even during the night elevate your leg. By elevating your legs 6 to 12 inches above your heart, this takes the pressure off the leg veins and allows the blood flow to move with ease.
