Flying eye books

Flying eye books are a beautiful illustrated selection of stories and learning books for young readers and I was recently sent a lovely package of books to try with Izebella
The Little Gardener – is wrote by author Emily Hughes and tells the easy read story of a little gardener in his garden working very hard. The tale teaches to persist and try no matter what the odds.

The text in this book is pretty minimal, despite the book being pretty large. The pages are instead filled with big bold pretty illustrations showing trees, flowers and lots of green which is of course found in gardens. There is no more than 2 lines of text per page which makes it a great book for very early readers. (RRP £11.99)

Next are two new small hardback books especially designed for toddlers.

Both by author Katja Spitzer and similar size to the old childhood ladybird books, these seem the perfect size for toddler hands. They are more early learning books than stories and provide a great opportunity for parent and child interaction. Both titles – How many legs? & Lets go Outside, contain many pictures and objects which can be pointed out and described. How many legs helps with counting as each page has a different number of things to count. Let’s go outside pictures lots of things that can be found whilst out and about.

Each book comes with an RRP of £5.99. I think she likes these!

Finally a book titled Whatever happened to my sister. Again hardbacked with lots of pictures to look at, tho I do think this one is perhaps a little more advanced for Izebella with having more text on the pages. However it is a good story and probably perfect for Izebella as she also has an older sister just like the book character . She too has a sister and notices her sister is changing, getting taller and not playing with her as much as she gets older. A lovely fun read.

The RRP for this title is £11.99 and the author is Simona Ciraolo.

All of our titles and lots more can be purchased directly from Flying Eye Books.
