Sunday was as many of you know a very important day for us. Firstly it was my birthday. It was also Father’s Day and to top it off; our Fish Finger party day.
Yes you heard that right: we hosted a fish finger party courtesy of Come round .
Prior to our party day we were sent some party goodies which included a large box containing 60 frozen birds eye fish fingers.
I had never tried these before but I’m really glad they were included. I had a sneaky few prior to our party and they are delicious.
Also in the box: Fish finger recipe book, poster, football timer, cocktail shaker, Funkin cocktail mixers, mayonnaise, balloons, cocktail sticks and birds eye oven gloves to give out. The fish finger party was obviously planned to coincide with the World Cup shenanigans, hence the football timer.
I love the addition of the “REAL” cocktail shaker. Sad to say but I have secretly always wanted one. Needless to say as soon as I saw this along with the Funkin mixers I went out and got my vodka.
I invited a few family members and friends. I chose the day after the England match rather than the match day as I knew more people would come.
The party was aimed at adults as alcohol was flowing. My children managed to enjoy some fish finger sandwiches too as well as some non alcoholic cocktails prior to the party.
The party went well with lots of nice fruity cocktails, rubbish football on telly (don’t ask me who played), and of course the main attraction- Fish finger sandwiches. With all sorts of fillings and additions.
We are already looking forward to hosting our next party sometime soon, tho perhaps I’ll go for a party without alcohol next time as my head was a little sore on Monday.
