This is the Logo Board Game from popular game makers Drumond Park.
It’s a fun family game which will certainly pass a few hours of boredom on a rainy day. The game comes with an age rating of 12-adult. Ryan is almost ten and had no problems playing this. The main reason it has a 12 rating is because younger children may find the questions and logos a little difficult. There are however no small parts to worry about so with a little help, younger children can join in too.
The game is quite simple, no batteries or construction of any sort and consists of a playing board, playing pieces and game cards. I was quite surprised to see that there is no dice either.
The game is for 2-6 players. One player starts as the Question Master and takes a card and asks the player the questions on the card starting with the purple (top) question. There are four questions on each card and the cards fall into 3 categories.
*Picture- on which there is a picture which questions relate to.
*Pot Luck- general knowledge logo questions.
*Common theme- which the answers all have a common theme.
If a player gets the first (purple question right, they advance to the first purple space on the board and then asked the remaining questions. Each correct answer allows them to advance to the colour of space which matches the colour of the question.
If they get the answer wrong the next player gets to answer and so on.
The winner is the first player or team to move onto the winning zone.
The questions obviously all relate to logos and brands. Many questions will be easy but some not so easy. Lots of different products are featured within the questions as well as pictures on the picture cards. It’s lots of fun and does have some learning benefits to it also with fun facts and knowledge.
You may recall last year I reviewed a similar game called Logo What am I which is designed for a younger age group, 8+. The Logo Board Game is similar with slightly different playing techniques.
If you enjoy the Logo board games but prefer playing games on your tablet or phone then you should download the Logo Game App. My review for this can be seen here. The logo app features 12 levels with thousands of logo questions. It can be downloaded via the App Store for apple users and it’s free.
The Logo Board Game has an RRP of Β£32.99 and features recognition and knowledge questions based on hundreds of the UKβs best loved and most iconic brands β from the AA, Birdβs Eye and BMW to Walkers crisps and Wrigleyβs gum. Itβs great for families who enjoy playing games together – absolutely anyone, any age, loves this great game.
