The Secretary Jigsaw puzzle: Ravensburger

I have posted several reviews for Ravensburger which have all been around some great puzzles and games for children. However I recently found out that Ravensburger also have many jigsaws for adults too and I was sent one over to try out.

This is the Happy Days at Work Secretary puzzle. It consists of 500 pieces which when carefully put together will make a very detailed work of art.
This is the 8th in a series of nostalgic puzzles looking back at jobs and professions from Ravensburger. The scene shows a Secretary busily at work in her 1960s office. She has a “state of the art” electric typewriter, and her trusty shorthand notebook and pen is at the ready!
The puzzle pieces are created using a Soft click technology this results in a smooth easy puzzle ensuring the pieces click together easily without risk of them bending or breaking.

The jigsaw scene contains some very fine details, such as a map of the UK, photographs and pictures on the walls, plant leaves and an outside scene through the window.
When it comes to large puzzles I find it best to sort the straight outside edging first and then sort out different parts of the puzzle into piles. A puzzle such as this with 500 pieces usually takes me a few days. The end result will look like this.

I think I may have to invest in some jigsaw glue as it’s not something I really want to take apart and redo again and again.
The puzzle was created by popular artist Trevor Mitchell, is full of bright, cheerful colours and plenty of detail. Jigsaw puzzle measuring 49.3 x 36.2cm and A4 inbox leaflet showing additional puzzle picture for reference and artist’s biography.

This would make a great gift for all the mothers out there.
