Chef in a box are the leading providers of grab and go breakfasts. They manufacture and distribute long life continental breakfasts, packed lunches, snacks and sandwiches to Hotels, hospitality, education and travel sectors.
There are many reasons why people away from home may miss out on breakfast. One reason being despite popular belief many hotel/guest house establishments simply do not have the facilities to cater for guests meals. After all kitchens take up a lot of space and a lot of smaller guest accommodation simply do not have room.
Another reason is that guests simply do not have time to use a hotel restaurant/canteen or find the queues too long. Or they may simply not have time to get breakfast due to set breakfast times by the establishment. There are numerous other reasons why people may miss out on breakfast when they are staying elsewhere.
Breakfast is considered by many to be the most important meal of the day and if people on the go are unable to visit a restaurant for whatever reason then that’s where Chef in the box is able to help.
Chef in the box provides something called Grab and Go breakfast which as the name states is for people on the go. It’s a breakfast you can take with you and eat where ever you wish. A breakfast you don’t need to worry about heating or mixing and you don’t have to worry about mess or sticky hands either.
The breakfasts come in small boxes in 3 different sizes.

Numbers 3,4,5 correspond to the amount of items per box. The boxes contain ambient products so no need to worry about storing in the fridge.
(Customers based in the southeast also have the option of a fresh breakfast delivered. Ambient products are delivered nationwide.)

WAKE UP 3 BREAKFAST

The smaller of the breakfasts contains orange juice, fruit&seed mix and a packet of Weetabix breakfast biscuits which are really nice and you get 4 to a pack. These boxes are used often for coach parties aswell as early leavers or as an add option combined with a hot drink and hot breakfast sandwich.

WAKE UP 4 BREAKFAST
This is the medium box containing 4 items. Orange juice, muffin , fruit& seed mix and a Eat natural bar

WAKE UP 5 BREAKFAST

This is the largest box and also most popular containing Orange juice, fruit & seed mix, Weetabix breakfast biscuits, yoghurt, and a lovely muffin. These have been used for school trips and sport events.
All the boxes also contain a mint to help freshen breath after eating and a paper napkin. The boxes have a minimum shelf life of 4 weeks and maximum of 3 months.
I think they are a great idea for businesses where lots of guests stay. After all not everyone can eat breakfast at the same time.
As well as the Wake up breakfast boxes, Chef in the box also provides packed lunches.

In the bags are a sandwich, crisps, chocolate bar or muffin, fruit and a 500ml bottle of mineral water. Bespoke options are available with the addition of salads, premium sandwiches and batch rolls. You will find full details by visiting the Packed Lunch page.
There is also a further option of sandwich and salad deliveries.
I was sent some of the breakfast boxes and packed lunches to try out. I found them both very filling and was not left feeling at all hungry after eating them. They both seem quite healthy too with the addition of fruit and breakfast bars etc. I think these boxes would be of much benefit to both hospitality establishments and also schools who offer breakfast clubs as well as school trip days where schools provide packed lunches.
