I always sing whilst we are brushing our teeth..makes it fun and lots of giggles and I sound so funny! 🙂
make it fun
I always play her favourite nursery rhyme and encourage her to brush to the rythm 🙂
I always sing the lazy town song to my children the song is like this ” Twenty times up, twenty times down.
It helps you with things that you have to do.
Twenty times left and twenty times right.
It,s a special trick I know, that makes you get up and go.
It does’nt take that long,
soon you,ll shine, feeling it divide
This is what I say to my kids whilst they brush. They have an amazing time when they brush their teeth. Also I give them a little treat and play a treasure hunt game with them.
have a toy near or sing, i have a funny crocodile sand clock
when toddlerdom arrives let them brush your teeth whilst you brush there. Helped us no end =)
I got my kids used to the toothbrush by putting teething gel on it when they were teething and letting them chew on the brush. This helped me introduce the teeth cleaning as they were familiar with the toothbrush.
sayy ahhhhhhhhhhhh lol
Introduce teeth-brushing early … make it a regular part of the routine. (Following on twitter as @lizferguson58)

We sing a nursery rhyme while brushing their teeth
I found that my 1 yr old hates having his teeth brushed but if I put on a big smile and say scrub scrub scrub in a silly voice he sometimes lets me do it. If hes really being nice he’ll brush his own teeth while I do mine, he likes to watch what mummy does 🙂
id say start as soon as first tooth is through, or if they are late developing teeth allow them to experiment with the toothbrush themselves so they get used to it
Start early, then it is a familiar routinue. Whilst allowing children as toddlers to copy / follow adults lead in tooth brushing routinue. Make it fun, be positive and encouraging.
Always give them lots of praise 🙂
i have her cartoons on so she doesnt notice im brushing her teeth
Lots of Praise and singing while brushing also i brush mine if i haven’t already brushed 🙂

Set an example – let your kids watch you cleaning your teeth
Start from a early age, this way they will be used to it and have sparkling teeth 😀 Followed & Retweeted.

make it fun and allow them to hold the brush themselves aswel 🙂
oh and bubblegum flavour paste is much better than mint too
I sing songs with her by going la la laaaaaa loudly whilst cleaning her teeth!
Just routine make it fun
I always brush my teeth at the same time and we take it in turns to brush his teeth with lots of praise 🙂 x
We use an egg timer it encourages them to brush for a set amount of time 🙂 we make it fun and they get a sticker on their chart.
sing a song related to brushing teeth 🙂
I started very early with my little girl and made it into a positive experience, never negative. If she got upset, I stopped and gave her the brush and gradually increased the amount of time I took control rather than her. Also, add a spare, clean toothbrush into a sensory basket or treasure basket and the baby will get to explore the toothbrush in their own fun and safe environment!
I follow you on twitter as @solarsangel and have tweeted 🙂
We always try to make ‘toothbrushing’ time fun! We have a large crocodile shaped toothbrushing timer and I sing a little song about toothbrushing (which I made up) about where and which teeth my little one should be brushing – she follows the instructions of the song 🙂
My little one doesn’t have his teeth yet, but we keep his gums clean so bacteria doesn’t build up. This will help when it comes to teething.
get a cute little fingertip baby toothbrush
