Mini Meatballs hungry to happy challenge

I was invited by Britmums to take part in the meatball hungry to happy challenge. I was sent vouchers to purchase the new Richmond mini meatballs.

20130619-175148.jpg. I had a tough time finding these as the big supermarkets near me in Bolton simply did not have them in. Anyway I finally went back to Tesco and there they were.
The challenge is to use the meatballs to create a hassle free recipe/ meal plan. So here is my very simple and quick recipe.
INGREDIENTS
1 packet of Richmond mini meatballs
1 packet of baby pasta stars
1 jar of tomato pasta sauce
METHOD
1) Pre heat oven and cook meatballs for approx 8 minutes
2) boil pasta until soft in water, drain off water
3) once pasta is cooked add sauce to pan , bring to boil, simmer for five minutes and serve.

20130619-175755.jpg this dish was easy, cheap and simple which is has to be in my house with 3 kids of varying ages (9,5 and 8 months) and a very fussy 9 year old who won’t touch any vegetables. It went down very well and kids loved the meatballs as they taste like a sausage and burger mixed together (according to my 5 year old).
It only took about 15 minutes to cook and serve too.
